MIDS Training

ViaSat offers a comprehensive set of training courses and technical support by telephone.

ViaSat offers a variety of training programs to meet customers' applications of Link 16, MIDS LVT(1) and MIDS LVT (2) terminals, and related software and equipment. These training courses are fully customizable to meet your needs or you can choose from our standard course offerings. Training is available to individual students or groups, at your location or ViaSat's Carlsbad, California facility, based on required needs.

MIDS training class at ViaSat training facility includes instruction and hands on experience.We also offer instructional classes for the Link 16 Environment Gateway Stimulator (LEGS) software suite that supports the operation, testing, troubleshooting, and demonstration of a variety of MIDS and JTIDS Link 16 terminals. The software provides the man-machine interface (MMI) between a user and the Link 16 terminal by connecting through the X.25, 1553, and/or Ethernet interfaces.

VSAT 101 – MIDS Familiarization (Short Course)

  • This Course of Instruction is one (1) day in duration and is offered at a group rate.

    VSAT 102 – LEGS Familiarization (Short Course)

  • This Course of Instruction is one (1) day in duration and is offered at a group rate.

    VSAT 103 Link 16 Familiarization (Short Course)

    MIDS training class at ViaSat training facility includes instruction and hands on experience.

  • This Course of Instruction is two (2) days in duration and is offered at a group rate.
  •  


    VSAT 104 – MIDS LEGS Familiarization

  • This Course of Instruction is three (3) days in duration and is offered at a group rate.
  •  


    VSAT 105 – MIDS Specification and Documentation

  • This Course of Instruction is one (1) day in duration and is offered at a group rate.
  •  


    VSAT 201 – Introduction to Link 16 and MIDS LVT

  • This Course of Instruction is five (5) days in duration and is offered five (5) times a year and is priced individually per student. Separate classes are held throughout the year for US citizens and Non-US citizens.
  • All classes are held at ViaSat's Carlsbad, California facility.
