Eutelsat has signed TelDaFax Communications GmbH  as a distributor for Tooway™ satellite broadband service in Germany. Eutelsat broadband affiliate Skylogic will be directly responsible for the distribution contract with TelDafax.

Eutelsat's ground-breaking 2Mbps Tooway broadband service, using the ViaSat SurfBeam® system, is a true high-speed satellite alternative for consumers looking for broadband access in areas with poor or no ADSL infrastructure in Europe. Rolf Diederichs, managing director of TelDaFax estimates that there are more than 1,000 ADSL-free areas nationwide in Germany. TelDaFax is also looking to establish a customer base in anticipation of the 2010 launch of Eutelsat KA-SAT, a transformational satellite being built in partnership with ViaSat.
