In conjunction with AMR Research announcement of the Top 25 Supply Chain companies of 2008, AMR presented 4 additional leadership awards for the first time.  ViaSat received the AMR Small/Mid Sized Company Leadership Award for Supply Chain Excellence.

The award was decided upon by consensus of the 29 AMR analysts who participated in the Top 25 Supply Chain company assessment.  The general criteria for the award follow:

• Growth and long term success of the company
• Demonstrated application of supply chain best practices, including supply chain IT tools
• Use of metrics, benchmarking and other techniques to improve supply chain processes
• Active participation in industry forums and surveys to expand the body of supply chain knowledge
